Most Christians would be appalled at the setting aside of the Seventh Commandment that prohibits adultery and encourages marriage according to God's design. Why then is the Fourth Commandment ("Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy") so readily set aside, even by those who go to church? In this series of sermons, Jeff Niell, pastor of Emmanuel Covenant Church in Phoenix, Arizona, considers the topic of the Sabbath under three significant questions: 1) Is the Sabbath of the Fourth Commandment still authoritative?, 2) Which day is the Sabbath?, and 3) How should we observe the Sabbath? The Bible presents the Sabbath as a delight. This series presents the Fourth Commandment accordingly and strives to make the distinctions between a proper, Biblical view of the Sabbath and that which was never taught by the Lord.
